Opening the mine
The Shif7y website is live, and with it the first game: Mãe-do-Ouro, a co-op horror game set in a haunted mine.
This is the first post on the Shif7y devlog. The idea is simple: show what’s being made, what worked and what broke along the way.
Mãe-do-Ouro
The first game is Mãe-do-Ouro, a co-op horror game for 1 to 4 players, made with Godot.
The Veio Fundo Mining Company has reopened a mine that was shut down decades ago. Miners ride the cage down into the dark to break stones out of the veins. Engineers stay in the engine house handling the lights, ventilation, cameras and the cage password. And down there lives the Mãe-do-Ouro, the Mother of Gold, a Brazilian legend who guards the gold of the earth.
From afar, she’s just another headlamp.
What’s next
Release is planned for January 2027, on Steam and Google Play. Until then, the next posts will show more of the mine, of the Mãe-do-Ouro and of how the game is being made.
If you want to talk about the game, the contact page is open.
